Parents

The Wilkes School Parents Association continues the mission of The Grace and St. Peter’s Parents Association, offering support to the school as well as to parents.

All parents/guardians are members of the association. The president of the association serves as an ex officio member of the Wilkes School Board of Trustees.

Wilkes School parents/guardians volunteer in a variety of ways. Some parents/guardians volunteer for special activities and share their interests and expertise making special presentations in classrooms. Other parents/guardians volunteer from home, giving time and/or materials (making learning center games, providing craft supplies, making treats for events, making phone calls, etc.). Parent volunteers serve as class or homeroom representatives who contact other parents regarding class activities, fundraisers, and the annual fund.

A collaborative and trusting relationship is essential to the success of our students and school. We encourage parents/guardians to contact the school with questions or to make appointments with faculty/staff and to visit our classrooms.
